Bob Dylan: ‘The Witmark Demos 1962-1964’

In Uncategorized on October 13, 2010 by Sukrit

The Witmark Demos are a collection of 50 songs that Dylan recorded for the Whitman Publishing Company. It is fasicinating that he wrote these songs before the age of 24 in a 6 by8 feet studio, to be published and not recorded. The young genius..

Some of these tracks include my favourites – Blowin in The Wind, Mr. Tambourine Man, A Hard Rain’s Gonna Fall,  Masters of War, Don’t Think Twice Its Allright, The Times They are a changin.

Being a dylan fan and its delightful to listen to the young Dylan in the process of creating the songs i love, spewing verses, forgetting phrases and creating magic. First Time I have heard Mr. Tambourine Man played on a piano !! Brilliant.  Today night’s spoken for. Check these out here.
