P vs NP ?

In Uncategorized on August 11, 2010 by Sukrit Tagged: , ,

VinayThe internet has been abuzz over the past week about the possible resolution of the P vs NP problem. The buzz is generated by a paper written by Vinay Deolalikar, an HP labs researcher who claims to have solved the problem. According to him P is not equal to NP, a blow to Computer Science. If proved correct Vinay will be entitled to the $ 1 million Millenium Prize by the Clay Foundation , accolades from the world and lot of spam mail by crazy Indians.
