The TakeOver

In Uncategorized on February 11, 2010 by Vikas

The famous takeover of this blue planet we live upon by the machines have already been portrayed in books, movies and games(i like at least one of them too).

What transpired me to write this thing is that today marks(Feb 10) the anniversary moment of the unfortunate moment in human history.

Exactly 10 years ago in Philadelphia, the IBM computer named Deep Blue became, on February 10, 1996, the first machine to beat a reigning chess world champion, Garry Kasparov.

Despite Kasparov rebounding from his first-game loss to beat Deep Blue in the match, the computer’s win demonstrated the inevitability of the rise of artificially intelligent devices.

When the upgraded Deep Blue won the rematch against Kasparov the following year, there were those who thought this presaged humanity’s downfall, but they were largely scoffed at as conspiracy theorists.

So 10 years ago, on the same day as today it all would have started if it ever does………or should i say as they from Terminator Salvations did  The end begins
